What is UTI?

A UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) is an infection that occurs anywhere in the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, ureters, Urinary bladder, and urethra (Urinary pipes). It is primarily a bacterial infection of the urinary system. Lack of hygiene, low immunity, underlying health issues are primary cause of disease.

Most infections occur in the bladder and urethra.

Women are most often affected, but men can also be infected.

It is most commonly caused by bacteria (especially E. coli)

Though fungi or viruses may occasionally be responsible.

 In General

• Females are more prone to UTIs due to a shorter urethra and its closeness to the vagina and anus.
• Males are less likely to get UTIs, but when they do, it often indicates an underlying problem such as prostate enlargement, urinary stones, or strictures.

 Symptoms of UTI

• Burning sensation during urination (dysuria)
• Frequent urge to urinate, even if little urine comes out
• Cloudy, dark, or foul-smelling urine
• Pelvic pain (in women) or rectal pain (in men)
• Fever and back/flank pain (if infection spreads to kidneys)

 Repercussions / Complications if not treated properly

In Females

• Recurrent UTIs - Some women experience frequent infections.
• Chronic pelvic pain - Due to repeated bladder irritation.
• Kidney infection (Pyelonephritis) - If the bacteria travel upward, it can cause high fever, chills, nausea, and back pain.
• Pregnancy complications - Infections during pregnancy may lead to premature labor, low birth weight, or preeclampsia.
• Interstitial cystitis (rare but possible) - Persistent bladder pain and urinary urgency without infection.

 In Males

• Prostatitis - Infection can spread to the prostate, causing pain, fever, difficulty urinating, and sometimes sexual dysfunction.
• Epididymitis - Infection may spread to the epididymis, causing testicular pain and swelling.
• Bladder dysfunction - Chronic infection can irritate the bladder, reducing capacity.
• Kidney infection - Similar to women, untreated infection can spread to kidneys.
• Sepsis - (Rare but severe): If infection spreads into the bloodstream, it can be life-threatening.

 Long-Term Risks (Both Male & Female)

• Renal scarring - Especially with repeated kidney infections.
• Hypertension (high BP) - Due to kidney damage
• Reduced kidney function - Rare but possible with chronic infections.

Astrological Diagnosis / Perspective

In astrology, diseases are often linked with certain Planets, Houses, Rashi & Nakshatra that govern the urinary system and reproductive organs.

Houses involved

• 1st House → The self, representing your physical body
• 5th House → Indicates good vitality and optimism, being 12th (house of loss for 6th house)
• 6th House → Diseases & enemies (general health issues), also governing organs like the          .             kidneys and upper ureter.
• 7th House → Ruling the urinary bladder and lower urinary tract.

 If these houses are afflicted, chances of UTI or urinary issues increase.

 Ascendants Most Prone to UTI

In Vedic astrology, Ascendant (Lagan) & Lagnesh sets the foundation for health tendencies. Some ascendants are naturally more vulnerable to urinary/reproductive issues (hence UTIs), depending on the following –

·       Ascendant sign → The Physical Body

·    Strength of its Ascendant lord → Instrumental in all physical and mental actions.

·    Strength of Venus → The Karak for Kidney, Urinary system & hormones

·    Moon → The Karak for Mind, Fluids running in our body.  

·    The Lords of 6th/8th/12th houses → Disease prone houses - (Play very vital role from early stage of disease → chronicity → hospitalization) 

Libra Ascendant

• Libra rules kidneys, urinary balance, and bladder.
• If Venus (Lagan lord) is weak or afflicted, urinary infections and reproductive issues can be common.
• Rahu/Ketu affliction in 6th or 12th makes it recurrent.
• The second sign of Venus; Taurus falls in 8th house in horoscope, increases the suddenness in disease as compared to other Ascendants. So this Ascendant is highly potent to UTI disease.

 Scorpio Ascendant

• Scorpio governs genitals, urethra, and reproductive system.
• Affliction of Mars (Lagan lord) by Saturn/Rahu increases tendency of infections, inflammation, and chronic UTIs.
• Similarly, the second Sign of Mars; Aries, also falls in 6th house. Thus increases the chances of getting infected.

 Pisces Ascendant

• Pisces represents excretory system, fluids, and immunity imbalance.
• Weak Jupiter or afflicted Moon makes them prone to fluid-retention disorders, swelling, and urinary tract infections.
• In Pisces Lagan Libra Rashi falls in 8th house, therefore, if Venus is weak or afflicted can lead to UTI.

 Taurus Ascendant

• Venus-ruled sign; governs reproductive organs and throat region.
• When Venus is weak/afflicted, urinary/reproductive disorders may manifest.
• Here in this Lagan, he second sign of Venus; Libra  falls in 6th house in horoscope, prone related to above said disease is higher.

 Risk Factors for other Ascendants

Regardless of Lagan, chances of UTI rise if:

• 6th, 8th, or 12th house is afflicted by malefics.
• Venus is weak/combust/afflicted.
• Moon is weak (urinary fluids disturbed).
• Rahu-Ketu in Lagna, 7th, or 12th cause chronic hidden infections.
• Libra, Scorpio, Pisces and Taurus, any of the signs is afflicted or disease related planets either placed on or aspecting these.
• Dasha/Antar dasha – Described above.

 Points to Note -

→ So, Libra, Scorpio, Pisces Ascendants top the list for UTI susceptibility, with Taurus also     somewhat vulnerable.

→ Medical treatment is essential for UTI.

→ Astrological remedial measures can also be performed parallelly. As Astrology is the only tool which can indicate predisposition of disease, its timing, and preventive mindset.

→ In most cases an early treatment clears UTIs without long-term issues. But repeated or untreated infections can lead to serious complications.

Transit of Mars in VIRGO Sign

 

Transit of Mars in VIRGO & Opposite to Retrograde Saturn

From July 28, until September 13, 2025 – The Period of tensions / Churning, requiring careful navigation and introspection

The transit of Mars into Virgo is happening on July 28, 2025 at around 1940 hrs (Indian Standard Time) and will remain there for about six weeks until September 13, 2025. Its position is opposite to that of retrograde Saturn.

Let us first understand what is Mars and Virgo sign.

Virgo –

o    Analytical, quantitative, intelligent, research-oriented, practical, pragmatic, precise, health, analysis, routine, work, service. Feminine sign, tendency to worry.

o   This creates high-strung energy — assertiveness in detailed work, obsessive drive to fix things, or aggressive criticism. Can be very productive but also fussy or overly rigid.

o   This produces high-tension / churning energy - persistence in detailed work, obsessive desire to get things right, or aggressive criticism. Can be very productive but also fussy or overly rigid.

Mars –

o   Action, aggression, motivation, energy, struggle, commander. Service under the king (servant - like Hanuman ji). Sudden energy or incidents like firearms/guns/bombs/explosions, sportsperson, police officer.

Retrograde Saturn in Pisces

o   Saturn - Discipline, structure, limitations, authority, karma. The planet acts as a great judge in our day-to-day activity from this current and previous lives, Reservation, Research/ Science, Deep and penetrating.

o   The state of being Retrograde - Internal pressure, reconsideration of old structures or fears. Time to rethink long-term goals, commitments, boundaries, and even your role in society.

Pisces –

o   Emotion, dreams, illusion, intuition, confusion, Emotional, Sensitive, Impressionable, Kind, Giving and forgiving, Dreamy,

o   Here in this Rashi, Retrograde Saturn can bring delays, re-evaluations, karmic reckoning, especially in emotional or spiritual realms.

 

According to Gochar Siddhant (of Phal Deepika), Mars gives good results in the 3rd, 6th and 11th house from the Moon, Sun or Lagan of the birth chart.

 o   Therefore, those who have Mars posited in Aries, Cancer or Scorpio ascendant in their birth chart, or in the Sun or Moon Lagan, placed in the above zodiac signs, will benefit the most, Provided these planets & Rashi and  their Rashi lord/s including Lagnesh, Mars, Sun, Moon or Saturn are strong and there is no malefic planet placed in Virgo sign which can obstruct the favorable transit of Mars.

o   Virgo and Gemini ascendant people may have the most challenging time during this transit of Mars, as Mars and Mercury are not good friends, however, final results can be assessed basis their respective relationship basis Panchdha Maitry chart.

o   As per Kaal Purush Kundli, this transit is associating 1st and 6th house and their lords, which might influence potentially, the conditions of health issue or Pitta/Agni imbalance especially for Virgo ascendant people (Mars is 8th & 3rd lord and placed in Ascendant).

o  Plus,  Family disputes, home and vehicle related problems for Gemini ascendant.

o   If by chance, Mars is afflicted in the birth chart (For every Ascendant) and is placed in Virgo sign, then in that case, one should have to be extra careful for the next 52 days, i.e., till the time Mars transits from Virgo sign to Libra on September 13, 2025. However, it is advisable to control your temper during this period.

o   In addition to that, the transit of retrograde Saturn can create a hyperactive mind, but the positive side is that it may also makes a good strategic planner.

o   Having Mars in Virgo, which is ruled by Mercury, can lead to a lot of verbal arguments and a tendency to continue fighting without stopping.

o   It is advised to be patient with people and accept them as they are.

o   There is a tendency towards perfectionism, which is often a weak point of Virgo people.

o   To reiterate, as mentioned above, if there is afflicted Mars in Virgo in birth chart, one may be inclined to broken relationships and One may be prone to exaggeration and from the health point of view, one may suffer from digestive problems, accidents, wounds and cuts.

 Points to note -

o   In Kaal Purush Kundali - Virgo is naturally the sixth Rashi, hence, it is directly related to health and services (services we render for society - Why - it is in the 9th house from the 10th house), and one can  overcome the challenges of Mars' transit through discipline, serving the needy, being a good co-worker, and staying away from conflicts.

o   And especially those who born in Aries ascendant or Moon in Aries sign, for them, Virgo sign falls in the sixth house, when afflicted, it may bring proneness to illness, wounds, cuts and fever, so take care of diet and health.

o   It is pertinent to mention that whenever a planet is posited in or transits through Virgo sign - in the birth chart, and this rule applies to all the twelve Lagan (Twelve Ascendants) of the Zodiac, the transit of a particular planet (basis their significations) would demand churning- means that we need to get better, improve and purify ourselves.

Final Note

o   Touching upon the deeper lessons from all three –

i.                  Virgo, (the natural sixth house of the zodiac - where we face reality)

ii.                Transit of Mars in Virgo as well as opposite to Retro Saturn.

o   One must be cautious about - The body, the job, the tasks of everyday life, the people we don't always like — All of these show us whether our spiritual ideals really work in the practical world.

o   Additionally, we need to develop skills in working with people so that we do not develop hostility with our nears & dears.

Transit of Three Planets Venus, Saturn & Rahu in Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra in Pisces Sign...

 

Yesterday evening, on 15^th April 2025, while analyzing a horoscope and impact of transit on it, especially planets in Pisces Sign....

o   VENUS – who has recently started moving in forward motion in Pisces sign.

o   SATURN – who has recently moved into Pisces sign and third one;

o   RAHU – Who is, now a days in rashi Gandant and in the mid of next month, it would move into Aquarius Sign. 

 I Venus, Saturn and Rahu, all three are passing through Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra, and the point to note is that all three are in the 4^th charan, This in itself indicates something important going to happen in our life. Since this nakshatra is ruled by Jupiter and so is the sign Pisces.

 And in Navamsh(D9) all three planets are falling in Cancer Navamsh, ruled by the Moon. They will be in Pushkar Navamsh till their placement in 4^th charan. This position has a very demonic quality to it, in the sense that it can be extremely benign or extremely dangerous. (I have tried to justify the reason of it down below.)

 So, my curiosity turned my interest to know more about it and my mind shifted from Kundali analysis to Gohar analysis.

 Let us understand the traits of Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra- 4th Charan:

 §  Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra is the 25th nakshatra spanning the end of Aquarius (First three charan) and the beginning of Pisces (Fourth charan). The ruling planet of this nakshatra is Jupiter. Whereas, the Rashi lord of Aquarius is Saturn & Jupiter of Pisces.

§  Its direction is adho Mukha (Looking down/facing downwards), Sattvik Gun, Brahmin Varn, and Purushartha (goal) is Dharm and its deity is Aja Ekapada, meaning having one feet only.

§  Here we are mainly interested in understanding the effect of transit of three important planets stated above, placed in Pisces Rashi. So, our focus would be purely on Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra and Pisces rashi, and their lordship, which is Jupiter.

§  The ruling planet of these two, Jupiter is associated with Generosity, Charitable, Cheerful, Social and sympathetic, Ambitious, Pleased easily, good leader, Advisor, transformation, spiritual awareness, and purification.  In addition to it, Jupiter can bring wisdom, growth, expansiveness, and a desire for higher knowledge. These are the positive traits of the most benefic planet; however, one must keep in mind if Jupiter happens to be weak or ill placed or playing the role temporal malefic, then it can make the native having weak will power, would never say no to anyone for any sort of work. Weak faith, weak enthusiasm. Most importantly Poor vitality, Liver & Pancreatic diseases including material and financial difficulties.

§  Jupiter happens to be Sattvic in nature, therefore, it can mark an impression on the native deeply, and there is no ill effect on house, the native will have strong sense of moral compass.   

o   Purva Bhadra Nakshatra can influence various aspects of life, including relationships, finances, and health, and it can give tendency to be introspective and philosophical too...

o   If we talk about the negative side of Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra and its 4^th charan- makes the native liable to disease in Kidney and bladder. Therefore, one must check whether dasha period is somewhat associated with Jupiter or of any planet is in Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra 4^th charan or Pisces Rashi/Jupiter or a planet (of Natal chart or of transit) is falling either in 64^th Navamsh or 22^nd Dreshkan region.

o   Rishi Parashar named three sages as lords of three Dreshkan of each sign and Durvasa is the lord for Pisces sign and 4^th charan of Purva Bhadrapada.

o   The Positives of Rishi Durvasa – He was known for his strong spiritual connection and ability to perform divine acts. He could grant boons and perform miracles, which showed his immense power. As a sage, he was a repository of knowledge including various spiritual and scientific principles. Many sought his wisdom in search of guidance and knowledge.

o   The negatives of Rishi Durvasa - His impulsiveness sometimes caused him to make hasty decisions that had long-term negative consequences, reflecting a lack of thoughtful consideration.

o   He was also famous for his efforts to control his senses, hence the lordship of Purva Bhadrapada 4^th charan represents the sensual/physical comfort or discomfort caused, if any malefic planet of the chart and specifically Mars or Venus is placed in this nakshatra 4^th charan, then the native may be forced to lose his senses to satisfy his uncontrolled desires.

o   His impulsiveness sometimes caused him to make hasty decisions that had long-term negative consequences, reflecting a lack of thoughtful consideration.

o   Therefore, during this transit, it is important to be careful to the possibility of using less than ethical means to achieve goals

Possible effects of Pisces Rashi when falling in various Trikon Sthan 

viz. 1st, 5th or 9th house

     

o   If this combination (Pisces & P. Bhadrapada 4^th charan) of common lordship falls in ascendant, this gives strong sense of self and desire to make his presence in his society / country/in a world, depending upon the strength of Ascendant, Jupiter in horoscope.

o   If placed in second Trikon, the 5th house which signifies, creativity, love and children, he may have a strong connection to family and a desire for creative expression, especially in relationships. 

o   If we talk about its placement in third and most important Trikon viz. 9^th house, despite all odds, the native may be completely focused on his higher education and above all on his spiritual growth. The combination four important components – 9^th house, Pisces Rashi, Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra & most importantly 4^th charan, this may lead to deep interest in maintaining his ethics, religion (rather different-different religion), and this is connected with our Bhagya Sthan, therefore, native may have strong belief in the power of divine and understanding the mysteries of life.

o   9^th house is known for long journeys and Dharmik Yatra (pilgrimages), so native may have strong sense of adventure and desire to travel and experience (different) cultures.  

 

So, when these three planets transit through P. Bhadrapada -4^th charan and scored good points in their respective Bhinnashtak Varga, one can receive the following blessings.

 

Venus – Venus will remain in P. Bhadrapada;4^th charan till 25^th April 2025.

o   In Vedic astrology, Venus is the planet of love, beauty, wealth and relationships. It governs everything that brings joy, harmony and happiness. The placement, aspects and conjunction (PAC) in the horoscope greatly influence these significations, affecting native’s love life, wealth, aesthetic sense and overall happiness.

o   The transit of Venus through this nakshatra may indicate a spouse or business partner or any associate, shall be imaginative, intuitive, and idealistic and may give a hint of romance too.

o   According to famous Astrologer Late sh. Bejan Daruwalla - The fourth charan of the Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra falls in the Cancer Navamsh ruled by the Moon. Here, the natives’ focus can be too dangerous, as they manifest the aspects of both the persecutor and persecuted. These natives are compatible with the natives of the other three charan.

Saturn – It will remain in P. Bhadrapada; 4^th charan till 28^th April 2025.

o   In Vedic astrology, Saturn is the planet of discipline, responsibility, hard work and karma. It governs challenges, delays and lessons in life that lead to maturity, wisdom and spiritual growth. It represents detachment, renunciation, and letting go of material desires. To sum up, the position, aspects and conjunctions (PAC) of Saturn in the horoscope deeply affect native’s life, bringing challenges and growth through discipline, hard work and resolution of karmic debts.

o   The transit of Saturn through this nakshatra & 4^th charan can bring opportunities for growth and self-discovery, but also challenges that require patience and discipline.

o   Here the energy of Saturn harmonizes with Jupiter’s energy, thus, making a well-balanced placement for Saturn. Native can work tirelessly towards their goal and becomes great achiever. Saturn do give a blessing to the native understands the pain and emotions of others very well.  

o   Our mentor Dr. Raman has stated in one of his books that according to astrology, affliction of Mars in a person's horoscope causes physical illness or affliction of Saturn in the 12th house/ Pisces sign causes deafness or ear problems. Similarly, eye diseases can also occur if a particular Nakshatra is afflicted in a person’s birth chart.

o   Here I am trying to connect the role of Saturn in Vastu as well with our day to day activities- Out of the seven days of the week, Saturday should be the day to remove clutter (what is useful/should be kept and what is not, should be discarded) in the house or other places, Therefore, the clutter removal activity should be started on Saturday and finished on Saturday only because, this planet is Danda Nayak (Judge), thus, Saturn means promise and any activity which is started on Saturday gets completed with the desired result.

Rahu -

o   Rahu is another very powerful planet that symbolizes materialistic desires, passion, and illusion. When it is in the Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra, it can have a profound impact on the life of an individual. Purva Bhadrapada is a charan that explores the theme of courage, determination, and perseverance.

o   Rahu when placed in the 4th charan of Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra, it promises good communication skills, thereby also giving the ability to become an influential speaker/leader, provided the benefic support shows is there in the chart, and such ability through the position of the Lagan or Moon. These people tend to dominate conversations, but have a natural charm that draws others in—captivating listeners with their persuasive arguments.

o   The position, aspects and conjunctions (PAC) of Rahu in the horoscope having a significant impact on everyone’s life, often leading to intense desires, challenges and a need to understand the illusions and realities of the material world. Rahu’s effects can be both challenging and transformative, depending on how its energy is channeled. Placement of Rahu in Pisces can be responsible for mental disturbance, anxiety, and chaotic thoughts.

o   The transit of Rahu through this nakshatra can be taken as a time for taking charge, making bold decisions, and setting ambitious targets however, it is important to notice the impact as it is on the border line to go to Saturn’s Rashi, Aquarius on 18th May 2025.

 Details starting from today (April 4, 2025)

o   Now as on today there are about five planets moving in Pisces (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Rahu).

SUN -

o   As mentioned above, Sun is moving in Pisces rashi & Revati – 1st charan.

o   From 10th April, Sun will start moving in 4th charan of Revati Nakshatra, inching towards Rashi Gandant, & on 14th April, the King of Zodiac will start transiting into its sign of Exaltation, Aries, however, will remain in Rashi Gandant till evening of 14th April, however, the vulnerable effects can be observed till it moves to 2nd charan of Ashwini Nakshatra & Aries Rashi.

o   The Sun will remain Ucch Vargottam, from early morning 14th April till 16th April Sunrise time.

o   The Sun will be moving out from its peak exaltation position on 24th April.

MARS -

o   Mars has entered into its sign of debilitation, Cancer, on 3rd April, once again. Earlier it came into Cancer Rashi on 20th October 2024, On 7th December, it started moving RETROGRADE, thus came back into Gemini Rashi 21st January 2025. On 24th Feb 2025, it started moving forward in Gemini Rashi.

o   Mars will remain in its sign of Debilitation for entire month of April.

MERCURY -

o   Mercury is still retrograde, debilitated, and passing through Neech Bhang Rajyog.

o   Mercury will start moving forward from 7th April. It will come out of its peak debilitation point on 26th April.

o   Mercury will remain in Pisces for the entire month of April.

JUPITER -

o   Jupiter continue moving in Gemini for whole of the month, however, faster than its normal speed (Just double - Atichari).

VENUS-

o   Venus is exalted & retrograde in Pisces. It will start moving forward from 13th April. And will remain in Pisces for entire month of April.

o   Yesterday, On April 03, 2025 Venus & Rahu were moving on the same degree, however, now Venus has moved behind the Rahu and their longitude difference is within one degree of Rahu

SATURN -

o   Saturn has moved into Pisces last month on 29th March. It is also running faster than its normal speed as Jupiter is moving. Will remain in Pisces till June 2027.

 RAHU & KETU -

o   Rahu is transiting from Pisces - Poorva Bhadrpad 4th charan, The lordship of Nakshatra and of Rashi Pisces belongs to Jupiter is with Jupiter & Ketu is transiting in Virgo Rashi - Poorva Phalguni Nakshatra, the lordship is with Mercury & Sun respectively.
