Tithi –
o
Krishan Paksh Chaturthi – This is the fourth day
of the waning moon (Krishan Paksh) in the Hindu month of Aashadh.
o
According to the Vedic calendar, Sankashti
Chaturthi began yesterday, Friday, at 11:19 AM and will conclude on July 4 at
12:40 PM. Based on the Chandrodaya Vyapini Tithi (the lunar day prevailing at
the time of moonrise), Sankashti Chaturthi will also be observed on July 4.
o
This is a highly auspicious day dedicated to
Lord Ganesha, specifically focused on removing obstacles, enhancing financial
prosperity, and calming a restless mind.
o
Sankashti means
relief from troubles during difficult times. Worshiping Lord Ganesha on this
date is believed to remove all obstacles in work and personal life.
o
It is very effective
in reducing mental stress and calming a restless mind, especially for those
with a weak or inauspicious Moon in their horoscope.
o
According to astrology, the lunar energy on any Krishna
Chaturthi (the fourth day of the waning moon) is considered Khal Prada (cruel
or malevolent) or Rikt (empty or inauspicious). Therefore, one should avoid
starting new ventures, getting married, or performing auspicious ceremonies
like Grih Pravesh (housewarming) on this day.
o
This particular Tithi is not considered good for
new investments, but according to Vedic timekeeping, it is considered
auspicious for activities involving conflict or struggle. It is considered
auspicious for handling weapons, confronting or defeating enemies, beginning
surgery, and handling poisonous or dangerous substances.
o
Mercury and Rahu - While Lord Ganesha is the
presiding deity of this lunar day (Tithi) from a spiritual perspective, the
intellect active on this day is influenced by Mercury. Spiritually, Rahu is
associated with the Chaturthi Tithi; therefore, this is a powerful day for alleviating
sudden mental shocks or obstacles stemming from past karma.
Vaar -
o
Saturday – In Vedic astrology, the ruling planet
of Saturday is Saturn. It is considered a volatile and restrictive day
associated with karma, discipline, delays, and spiritual lessons. Rather than
initiating material ventures, it is deemed ideal for introspection, completing
tasks, and engaging in acts of charity or service.
o
Its nature is considered Tikshna or Darun
(meaning 'sharp' or 'harsh' in ancient Sanskrit); therefore, it is auspicious
to undertake activities aligned with this nature on Saturdays.
o
It fosters patience,
discipline, organized planning, and the habit of completing unfinished tasks.
o
It is an excellent time for acts of charity,
helping the needy, working with the elderly, and showing empathy.
o
It is ideal for decluttering, organizing your
schedule, laying the groundwork for the long term, and undertaking structural
or agricultural work.
o
Due to Saturn's
restrictive energy, tasks initiated on this day often encounter unnecessary
interruptions, delays, or obstacles.
o
When conditions are unfavorable, this day can
give rise to feelings such as extreme lethargy, depression, sorrow, despair, a
sense of inferiority, or resentment.
o
Activities related to Yog, Pranayama, and the
mastery over death are considered highly auspicious on this day (as Yama, the
deity associated with human longevity, is the presiding deity of Saturday).
o
When the Chaturthi Tithi of the Krishan Paksh in
the month of Aashadh falls on a Saturday, the day becomes highly auspicious and
spiritually potent, attracting the blessings of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, and
Lord Shani.
o
The energy of Lord Ganesha (the remover of all
obstacles) combines with the disciplined, stable, and karma-balancing nature of
Saturday. This synergy makes this fast highly effective for resolving
deep-seated, long-standing issues related to finances, health, or career.
o
Reciting the Sundarkand at a Hanuman temple on
Saturday evening is considered a highly auspicious spiritual practice. Conclude
the session by reciting the Hanuman Chalisa and performing the Aarti of Lord
Rama and Lord Hanuman.
o
Saturday is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Shani
Dev; therefore, it is the best time to seek blessings for courage, strength,
and the removal of obstacles.
Nakshatra
o
Dhanishtha – It spans the zodiac signs of
Capricorn and Aquarius. Its symbol is the Damru (a double-sided drum),
representing rhythm, cosmic time, and the acquisition of wealth.
o
Its ruling planet is Mars; the presiding deity
is the Vasus; and the symbol is a flute or a drum. Its gaze is directed either
upwards or downwards; energy levels, body parts, potential ailments, and
professions vary according to the four padas (quarters) of the Dhanishtha
Nakshatra.
o
The word 'Dhanishtha' (Dhan-Ishta) is of
Sanskrit origin, meaning the wealthiest, most prosperous, or most renowned.
o
Influenced by Mars
and the Ashta-Vasus (the eight deities of prosperity), this Nakshatra places
immense emphasis on material and social prosperity.
o
The Ashta-Vasus are the Sun, Moon, Earth, Fire,
Water, Air, Ether (Space), and the Nakshatras (constellations). These eight Vasus
work together in mutual cooperation, forming the foundation of the lives of
those born under the Dhanishtha Nakshatra.
o
Due to the influence of the Vasus and Mars,
people born under this Nakshatra are highly motivated and possess an innate
ability to amass wealth, assets, and resources.
o
Simply put, eight elements provide you with
strength and energy; as you learn to utilize them, you gain power and move
forward in life.
o
Mars' eighth aspect
does the very same thing; whatever house it casts its gaze upon, it transforms
everything within it—
§
Destroying the old and bringing new meaning to
that house.
§
They thrive in communities, often using their
resources to host, entertain, and generously support their peers.
o
Dhanishtha signifies not only gaining power
through hard work and struggle but also reaping the rewards of that effort.
o
An excellent sense of timing. This applies not
only to music and dance but also to sports, trading, and making strategic
decisions in life.
o
Dhanistha is also the Nakshatra of harmony and
rhythm; it is associated not merely with the rhythm of music or mantras but is
also symbolized by instruments like the Damru, Mridang, or Tabla, clearly
demonstrating its connection to musical instruments.
o
The intense desire for wealth can sometimes turn
into a habit of hoarding things, greed, or ruthlessness in business dealings.
o
Dhanistha sign
people with weak energy (weak Mars – arrogance and pretense) can be
arrogant, pretentious, self-centered, or completely disregarding the feelings
of others in their quest for the limelight.
o
Ruling Planet – Mars is its ruling planet, which
bestows courage, high ambition, a competitive spirit, and the ability to work
in an organized manner.
o Symbols – Mridang/Damru (cosmic drum) and flute. These represent inner rhythm, precise timing, a hollow vessel for divine expression, and the heartbeat.
o
Deities – The Ashta Vasus (the eight elemental
deities of nature and cosmic prosperity: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Sky, Sun,
Moon, and Stars) are its presiding deities. They bestow resourcefulness,
material prosperity, and fame.
o
Urdhvamukhi –
Looking Upward – It channels cosmic energy toward growth, soaring heights,
long-term creation, and increasing consciousness.
o
Directions – East, Southeast, South, West, and
Southwest.
o
Body parts –
It controls the kneecap, the back of the head, the anus, the shins/calves,
bones, ankles, limbs, and the area between the knee and the ankle.
o
Potential Ailments – Due to the intense
influence of Mars as it moves through Saturn-ruled signs (Capricorn/Aquarius),
the individual may suffer from conditions such as malaria, filaria, high fever,
boils, or chronic ailments related to body constitution or the blood. Excessive
mental activity may disrupt the natural sleep cycle. Weakness or injuries
affecting the knees, calves, ankles, and lower legs may occur. Issues such as
high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, or impaired blood circulation (blood
stagnation) may also arise. Issues related to the lower body, such as
hemorrhoids or incomplete bowel evacuation (sluggish bowel movement).
Elephantiasis, dry cough, and hiccups (depending on the influence of the
Capricorn or Aquarius signs).
o
People born under
the Dhanishtha Nakshatra often eat hurriedly while in the midst of work. They
may prefer eating in the company of others or in social settings—such as office
canteens, parties, roadside eateries (dhabas), or while out and about in the
evening. They might enjoy eating in noisy environments—amidst music,
conversation, or street noise.
o
Profession –
The Capricorn
side prefers a stable job, authority, and a high position. Meanwhile,
the Aquarius side prefers networks, side income, and collaborations. Therefore,
these individuals may start with a job, understand the system, and build
contacts. Later, they may move into business, consulting, or event work, or
even create multiple sources of income while still working.
o
They generally do
not like sitting idle. Even while holding a job, they might also handle
tasks such as assisting with the family business, taking on extra teaching
assignments, managing investments, or overseeing temple or community projects.
o
Suitable professions for those born under the
Dhanistha Nakshatra include dancer, doctor, surgeon, musician, real estate
agent, scientist, engineering, mining, poet/writer, entertainment business,
musical instrument maker, gemstone dealer, astrologer, and holistic healer;
additionally, work related to rehabilitation centers, machinery spare parts,
cement, metallurgy, stone quarries, agriculture, tea, coal, steel plants,
archaeology, building contracting, and the jute industry is also favorable for
them.
o
If a strong planet
in the Dhanistha Nakshatra connects with the 2nd house (family resources,
food, speech) and the 11th house (gains, networks), the most significant
financial gains often arise from projects involving collective effort and
public events—such as launches, festivals, conferences, or campaigns.
o
This is because the 2nd house represents
resources and the 11th house represents collective networks, while the drum of
Dhanistha brings people and money together in one place.
o
If the Moon is
positioned in the Dhanistha Nakshatra and strongly linked to the 10th house, the
individual will not be satisfied with menial tasks; they will be repeatedly
drawn towards public service, leadership roles, or performance-oriented
activities. Career success will be achieved when they step out from the shadows
and embrace a role that entails responsibility and high visibility.
o
Because the Moon represents the mind, the 10th
house represents action, and Dhanistha nakshatra represents the desire to
perform on stage (i.e., showcase one's talent).
o
If a malefic or weak
planet in Dhanistha connects with the 6th house (service, struggle, daily
grind) and the 12th house (losses, expenses, solitude), the individual
will repeatedly face situations of overwork, sudden expenses, and forced rest
(often due to poor health or job stress). This will continue until they learn
to maintain a balanced routine and engage in charitable activities.
o
Since the 6th house represents the struggle of
competition and the 12th house signifies liberation—and Dhanistha amplifies
cycles—you either set your own rhythm, or life determines it for you.
o
If Venus is
positioned in the Dhanistha Nakshatra and linked to the seventh house,
the future of the relationship will be strongly tied to social status,
celebrations, and financial standing. The marriage could come about through an
event, a ceremony, or professional networking. The relationship will strengthen
as the couple builds assets together and celebrates with family; however,
difficulties will arise when discussions regarding money and status turn into
battles of ego.
o
Since Venus signifies relationships, the seventh
house represents the partner, and the Dhanistha Nakshatra governs joint
celebrations and shared resources.
o
If the Dhanistha
Nakshatra connects the second and eleventh houses, it brings benefits
during team projects, performances, and periods of high energy. The individual
can become a key fundraiser or a "money magnet" within their circle.
o
If it connects the second and eighth houses,
there may be sudden financial gains or losses resulting from market
fluctuations, inheritance, or joint ventures. A prudent decision or a risk
taken impulsively can change everything.
§
If the 7th house, its lord, planets situated in
the 7th house, or Venus/Jupiter have a connection with the Dhanistha Nakshatra
–
o
Positive aspects –
§
The spouse may be talented, active, and socially
prominent; the couple might organize events for others, travel extensively, and
collaborate on projects. The marriage could take place during work, team
activities, social gatherings, or community functions.
§
The two may become a 'power couple'—efficiently
managing a family, business, or NGO, and raising their children with
discipline.
o
Negative aspects –
§
Both partners may possess a very strong ego.
§
Money and status become significant issues in
the marriage. If not handled calmly, disagreements can turn into a public
spectacle.
o
The combined
significance of Saturday, Chaturthi of the Krishan Paksh in the month of Aashadh,
and the Dhanistha Nakshatra:
§
This rare convergence creates a highly potent
time for spiritual purification, liberation from karmic debts, the removal of
obstacles, and attracting prosperity.
o
When these energies
align, the day becomes an extraordinary time for balancing one's karma,
overcoming hurdles, and fulfilling desires.
o
To harness the energy of this alignment,
spiritual seekers typically perform the following practices on this day:
§
Chant the Ganesh Mantra to invoke Lord Ganesha,
the remover of obstacles. To appease Lord Shani and alleviate the burden of
karma, light a sesame oil lamp at sunset and recite the Hanuman Chalisa or the
Dasharatha-krit Neel Shani Stotra.
o
It is believed that donating food and other
essentials to the needy on a Saturday coinciding with the Dhanistha Nakshatra
multiplies one's positive karma manifold.
Yog –
o
Priti Yog –
o
In Vedic astrology,
the ruling planet of Priti Nitya Yog is Mercury, and it symbolizes affection
and connection; the literal meaning of the word 'Priti' is happiness, love, or
joy.
o
It is considered an inherently auspicious Yog.
However, as with any astrological configuration, it has the potential to yield
both positive and negative effects, depending on the individual's choices and
planetary positions.
o
Since it is ruled by Mercury, it endows the
individual with the art of conversation and wit, making them adept at healing,
resolving issues, or entertaining others through the power of words.
o
It also fosters an interest in networking,
hosting, and creating a pleasant atmosphere where everyone feels included.
o
It inspires the individual to engage in acts of
charity and help the needy, bringing them deep satisfaction by making others
happy.
o
On the other hand, since 'Priti'
(affection/love) symbolizes joy, in a low-vibration state, an individual might
become excessively engrossed in sensory pleasures, luxury, or entertainment,
potentially leading them to neglect their responsibilities.
o
If this state becomes highly negative, their
natural eloquence—the art of articulate speech—can devolve into deceptive,
honeyed words, where they use superficial charm to manipulate or cajole others
for personal gain.
o
The convergence of
'Priti Yog' with the previously mentioned elements of the Panchang—this
unique combination harnesses powerful energies to remove obstacles, foster
prosperity, and build harmonious relationships.
o
The presence of the Dhanishtha Nakshatra ensures
that hard work yields physical and material prosperity, while the Preeti Yog
fosters harmonious and loving interpersonal relations. Driven by the
obstacle-removing energy of Chaturthi, this alignment facilitates long-lasting
financial success through spiritually sound and disciplined actions.
Karan
o
Balav and subsequently Kaulav Karan – In the
Hindu Panchang, Balav and Kaulav are two important 'Char' (movable) Karan—segments
representing half of a Tithi. They appear in the regular sequence of the
Panchang, where two Karan are required to complete each Tithi.
o
Balav is an auspicious Karan with a spiritual
inclination. Individuals born under this Karan possess a calm, scholarly, and
charming personality. They take an interest in religious activities and
pilgrimages.
o
On the other hand, Kaulav is a Karan
characterized by sociability and a spirit of friendship. People born during
this time excel at forming and maintaining relationships.
o
To learn more about Balav Karan, please refer to
my previous post (June 14, 2026), which explains it in detail.
o
The convergence of
these elements (mentioned above) on a Saturday creates a unique and complex
chart, blending disciplined action, spiritual growth, and material success.
This combination points to an ambitious individual who must strike a balance
between the serious pursuit of wealth and the need for inner spiritual harmony
and patience in their actions.
o
Today, one may need to strike a balance between
the desire for material comforts and fame and the need for spiritual and
emotional discipline. This combination provides a strong foundation for
achieving success independently, provided one channels their innate Martian
energy in the right direction—guided by Saturnian discipline—rather than
reacting impulsively.
