Maha Shivratri, Amavasya and Planetary Movements, - March & April 2024

 

Mercury -

¢              Today Mercury has entered into its debilitation Rashi, Pisces on 7th March and it will remain there in Neech Rashi till 26th March.

¢              On 26th March,  Mercury will transit into Aries, however,  It will start moving in Vakri / Retrograde motion,  from 02nd April and again entering into its debilitation sign (Pisces) on 09th April, it will remain there plus moving in Vakri motion till 25th April.

¢              On 25th April , it will start moving in forward motion.

¢              On 25th May it will come back to Aries Rashi.

¢              During his transit to its Neech Rashi, Pisces, In between, Mercury is going to connect with Rahu as well, Rahu is already running in Revati Nakshatra (whose Lordship is with Mercury), & on 18th March Mercury & Rahu will be in Revati -II Nakshatra, which is Nakshatra of Mercury itself.  The Sun, will be very far off from Mercury & Rahu, therefore, one can feel the joint effect of Rahu +Mercury, this Yog will be formed two times in between these two planets. (Once in forward motion and again when Mercury will be moving in retro movement).

¢              pertinent to mention that most of the learned astrologers consider Mercury is the Exaltation Lord (Ucchesh) for Rahu. Therefore, this duo can affect children (between 5 to 18 years of age) badly. Children may be careless and irresponsible in their studies. Whereas if this Yog is being formed in good Bhav plus Rahu and Mercury are positive in one's horoscope, then children will be having a good presence of mind, Rahu who is capable of taking risk and because Mercury being the Bhuddhi, signifies intelligence, can play the role of brain behind the risk-taking ability, can be a good troubleshooter or vice versa as well.

 Maha Shivratri

¢   Maha Shivratri is on March 8, 2024, the Panchang of this day indicating very auspicious results. Thrayodashi Tithi is ruled by Jupiter and Shiv Yog is very Saumya in nature and its lordship is with Mahadev itself, plus with Garaj & Vanij Karan (Garaj & Vanij are considered good Karan for most auspicious activities).

¢  Maha Shivratri is followed by another very important event of Magh Month, Amavasya. Since Maha Shivratri occurs right before the night of new Moon or Amavasya, astrologically, it is regarded as most powerful day, it is associated with new beginnings, and when it coincides with special day honoring  Mahadev, sure short indication of occurring good events in life.

¢  Chanting -Namah Shivay, Rudr Gayatri Mantr,  performing Rurdrabhishek, is recommended for next six months. 

Amavasya -

¢              Amavasya will be on Saturday, March 9 at 6:17 PM and ends on Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 PM. This is Phalguni Amavasya, therefore, having great relevance (Shanishchari Amavasya). When Amavasya falls on a Saturday, it is called Shanishchari Amavasya. It's also called Pitrkaryeshu Amavasya.

¢  Amavasya is considered inauspicious for performing auspicious events such as marriage, Mundan Sanskar, and specifically Grih Pravesh, however, it is auspicious for religious activities. Such as performing hawan and taking holy dip in river Ganga.

¢  Pertinent to mention, it is Magh Month. This month is  important for spiritual practices in the Hindu religion.

¢  Chanting - Shannodevira- Bhishtaya'Apo bhavantu pitaye shanyorabhistravantunah. Shani Vedic Mantra is recommended. 

  

The Sun -

¢              On 14th March, it will transit into Pisces Rashi, where, the duo- Rahu  & Mercury already placed in. The Sun will further moves into its Exalted Rashi on 13th April 2024. 

¢              Here Rahu & the Sun will be approaching towards each other & on 5th April they will be on same longitude, thus making a strong Grahan Yog.

¢              First Total Solar eclipse is happening on 8th-9th April 2024, this is the first solar eclipse of the year, though it is not visible in India, however, due to other planetary movements during this period one can feel the heat of it (on everyone across India). The celestial event of a solar eclipse is going to traverse North America, making its trajectory over Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

S¢  Sun Rahu conjunction is a very confusing conjunction and powerful conjunction. It can bring positive results only when Sun is benefic and Rahu is least malefic.

¢  As Sun signifies Government, therefore, it will be such type of government job where one can take decisions and time independently without any pressure of boss or seniors.

¢  Rahu being non-existent, therefore anything associated with foreign, unusual. When it is conjunct the Sun, one may be successful in working with foreigners or living abroad. Such results can be seen if promise exits in horoscope and its fructification can be observed during Dasha-Antar dasha period. 

¢  The Sun Rahu Mercury relationships can bring good results for political leaders and political parties, and further with the people associated with journalism and media, however, in the latter case, the strength of Mercury plays an important role in natal chart.

¢  If sun will be strong, positive results will come from this conjunction.

¢  If sun is weak, it can give eye problem (Pisces being 12th Rashi, signify left eye  and may cause death of father (due to graham Yog, & the Sun is the father) and low confidence and low self-esteem.

¢  Relationship with father can be bad during this time period.

¢  It can give false ego ( The Sun is approaching towards its exaltation sign, plus strong Sun in horoscope give ego). Native will develop high ego over little things and achievements. Rahu’s dispositor (Jupiter) also plays a crucial role in outcome of conjunction.

¢  If Jupiter is in inimical, debilitated or in Trik bhav, then result will be on more malefic (harsh).

¢  This combination, specifically the conjunction, those days when longitude difference is 3 degree 20 minutes, between the two, can make the native obsessed with name fame and recognition.

¢  Native may develop greed for political and administrative power, feeling good  towards unethical  means to achieve his greed.

¢  Once they accomplish their target (greed) by hook or crook, they will do anything to retain their power. 

¢  Chanting Gayatri Mantra, Aditya Hriday Stotra and performing Rahu Homa for next three months is advisable 

 

Mars -

¢              On 15th March, Mars will be transiting into Aquarius Rashi, whose Lord Saturn is already placed in its Mool Trikon Rashi. 

¢              The Mars Saturn association /aspecting each other is often responsible for one of the most challenging situations for the globe. Mars signifies Power, energy, drive and aggression whereas Saturn is limitations, hardship, and discipline. Therefore, whenever, these two different energies are together in one Rashi or aspecting each other in a horoscope ( be it individual or in country’s horoscope), would create hard conditions due to opposite and very powerful energies. Here I would like to mention one more aspect of these two planets,  Mars is Blunt, does not believe in hidden attacks, attacks from front is the quality of Mars, whereas Saturn is just opposite it Mars, Saturn due to its slow speed and darkness, believes in hidden attacks (back stabbing). ……………..

Planetary Position - The Sun in the month of February 2024

 

¢  In the month of February, the Sun shall continue its journey in Capricorn Sign and in the second half of February, be entering into Aquarius sign on February 13, 2024.

¢  The Capricorn sign is the tenth Rashi of Kaal purush Chart, and Capricorn possess a balanced, tasteful and calculating nature, it is ruled by the Saturn, who is the planet of Karma, austerity and mysticism, an earthy sign, therefore, grounded, practical and thoughtful. It is movable sign, therefore, fond of change and spontaneous in nature.

¢  For the Sun, keeping in mind its placement in Shravan Nakshatra, therefore, the transit of the Sun is good in the first week of February.

¢  On February 07, it enters into nakshatra of Dhanishta, who is wife of Moon, therefore,  it signifies, wealth and benevolence, the first two Charan (pad) falls in Capricorn and rest two, the third and fourth Charan falls in Aquarius Sign.

¢  On February 10, 2024, the moment it enters into second Charan of  Dhanishta in Capricorn, who is fiery in nature, highlights the traits of Rakshas Gan, and Arth/Prithvi tattv, makes him more self-centered, greedy, fierce in appearance, stubborn and rigid.

¢   On February 13, 2024, the Sun enters into Aquarius sign, and third Charan of Dhanishta Nakshatra, which makes the Sun more emotional, jealous in nature, and more desirable.

¢  It is pertinent to mention that  that the Sun is detriment in Aquarius and above all  its enemy, the Saturn, and the lord of Aquarius Rashi is already placed in Aquarius. And the moment it enters Aquarius, it attains its Neech Navamsh, Libra, therefore, one can expect that this month the strength of the Sun, (as per his Sattvic nature) is not going to be very good. And basis this, it advised not to start new ventures related to the signification of the Sun, it means that qualities associated with the Sun may face challenges or be expressed in less comfortable manner.

¢  A planet in detriment does not mean hardship, lot more depends upon the placement and aspect of good and bad planets on detriment planet, and the strength of the ruler/ dispositor of the Rashi, where it is placed in an individual’s chart.

¢  Further to add that the Aquarius is opposite to Leo Rashi, and during winter season, at the time of Sunrise, the Leo Rashi falls either in 8th or 7th house in a chart, and these are the darker areas in the horoscope, and we have observed that everything is cold and dark when the Sun is placed either in Capricorn, or Aquarius Rashi….Why. Here the Sun is not shining as bright as it should be, indicates the weakness of the Sun.

¢  It is observed that planets having good strength in a horoscope, are able to achieve their goals and the strength of Sun is fluctuating, plus he is the planet of ego, the self, its goal is to define the sense of self. And Aquarius talks about the groups not about self…..

¢  Both planets govern fixed sign;Leo (ruled by the Sun) and Aquarius (by Saturn) are fixed Rashi, however, one if Fiery and other is Airy in nature.....

¢  Fiery signs are passionate, aggressive, invigorating, spontaneous/ impulsive, creative and courageous, they have the ability to take risks. They can convert opportunities in their favour. No one can dominate them.

¢  Airy sign people are curious, skilled communicators, social, and attention-seekers. Multi-tasker, adventurous, likes to investigate everything and is quite observant

¢  Air signs are said to naturally gravitate towards one another, but their complementary element is fire. Air signs are said to kindle the flames of fire signs, bringing them to their best potential.

¢  According to the classical text of Astrology, Uttar Kalamrit, where Kalidas has mentioned various signification of the  Sun, few are as follows- It represents, Soul, Power or strength, Fiery in nature,  Leadership, Favour of the King or ruler, Father, Awakening of knowledge or enlightenment, looking up towards the sky - means very great ambition, vitality, warmth, Saatvic or benevolent and good temper etc..

¢  As mentioned above the Sun is the King or the ruler or the Government, therefore, as per my understanding, it signifies personal expression of self, individuality, whereas Aquarius talks about  collective efforts, group dynamics and objective approach of life.  

On February 28-29, there is the Sun, Saturn and Mercury conjunction (will be at same longitude) and will be in a planetary war like situation. These three planets play a very critical role in everyone's horoscope. The conjunction of the Sun and Mercury is not that unusual , they always remain together, most of the time, however, 

¢  All three planets ; the Sun, Saturn, and Mercury will play somewhat different roles for different people, aside from their natural rulership. For someone, it may shed a huge impact on career, and for another on romance, or on financial condition, or else- curious to see their results on an individual as well on the Ruler of Country.

Planetary Position - Mars & Venus in the month of February 2024

 

¢  This month Mars & Venus are  likely to bring significant changes in one's life.

¢  This is the first transit of Mars in the year 2024 & this might positively or negatively impact the lifestyle based on placement of Mars in an individual’s Horoscope.

¢  Some  could experience a significant solace in their fortunes as Mars shall be transiting through Capricorn, its sign of exaltation.

¢  According to Kaalpurush Horoscope principle, Capricorn signifies the 10th house, the house of Karma. And here in Capricorn, because of various factors such as Mars gains full strength (including directional strength) in Capricorn, according to some classical text, it is the significator of 10th house, therefore going to play an instrumental role in professional relationship as well. One may experience flow of high and passionate energy in all aspect of life.

¢  Mars, in the month of February,  will be transiting through its best positions and gaining strength significantly as mentioned above,  it will be transiting through its sign of exaltation and above all it shall be passing through its                                            - Vargottam Navamsh - from Feb 05 to Feb 10, 2024,

¢  If we split the word , Varg+Uttam, it is a special position in the chart that gives exceptional strength to the planets placed within. It gives excellent results during its Dasha/ Antar Dasha periods and also in transit. There are deep rooted secrets hidden within each Vargottam

¢  - It shall also be passing through Pushkar Navamsh (two times), own Navamsh and again in Pushkar Navamsh - from Feb 14 to Feb 27’ 2024.

¢  Similarly, Pushkar means = Push (to boost/ to nourish)+ Kar (Karm/ deed). Pushkar is blue lotus , it is a special energy that nourishes.

As discussed previously, Navamsh is the most important Varg in Vedic astrology. This is specific area in charts that nourish and give planets the capacity to fortify themselves. This special Navamsh allows the personality to flourish and its qualities become replenished.

 

¢  Mars & Venus will be transiting through same Nakshatra & Rashi; Uttara Asadha, Capricorn.

¢  This time, Venus will be following Mars - one can observe very exciting fallout in personal and professional relationships.    

¢  Conjunction of Venus and Mars is scheduled on 22nd Feb, Venus the planet for love, romance, and relationships & ruler of beauty, desire, (sex, fertility) and prosperity will be chasing Mars the planet of Passion, desire and energy (ruler of sex drive and sexual compatibility). As explained above, both will be at their maximum strength. Therefore,  the duo of celestial lovers in Capricorn will make this month special for lovers.

 The Valentine day will be special for expression of love, proposals and marriages. Natives will be overflowing with passion but will be practical and are likely to re-examine their romantic decisions.

- Mercury starts moving forward on January 02, 2024. It will also remain in Rashi Gandant till January 11, 2024.

- Mercury will transit to Sagittarius on January 07, 2024 & will remain in Sagittarius entire month.

¢  Venus

- Venus will be in Rashi Gandant from January 16, 2024 till January 18, 2024.

- Venus ill transit to Sagittarius on January 18, 2024.

- Venus will be in Neech but Pushkar Navamsh till January 02, 2024. 

¢  Rahu 

-      - Rahu will  remain in Rashi Gandant for next three months.

¢  Rashi Gandant - from 26º40' - 30º00' - last charan of Water element zodiac, & 0º00' to 3º20' to the first charan of Fire element zodiac. (In case of Rahu, being Retro its is from 30º00' - 26º40').
